Courteney is famous

Courteney was part of the In The Heights flash mob at Universal City Walk this past weekend. They are promoting the show at the Pantages Theater. I hear great things about it. Wish we could watch it. Check Courteney out (2:41 & 3:29) :)

Filipino remedies

I love our Filipino culture and its superstitions or old wives tales. I’m way superstitious so I love hearing new ones. I learned a new Filipino remedy this weekend: Red string gets rid of hiccups.

So Andrew had hiccups and they put a wet piece of red string on his forehead to help get rid of them. Admittedly, Marc and I started to giggle a bit. Hey, we’ll try anything right?! Then Courteney jokingly says, “Problem solved!” and we started laughing. It was great. Andrew continued to have hiccups.:)

Marc decided to join us for our Mommy & Me class during his lunch break. It was awesome to have him join Andrew and I in class. Marc participated in most of the activities with Andrew. He learned all the new songs, activities and met all of Andrew’s new friends. There was one song that Marc thought he knew the words to, but didn’t. I nearly fell out laughing. It was a great time. :)

We celebrated Papa Horacio’s 88th birthday at the Mayflower with family and friends.

Father’s Day

Since this was Marc’s first father’s day, Andrew and I wanted to make it special. Andrew and I made sure our presents and our cards were ready for him when he got home. We planned to make it a Father’s Day Weekend so when Marc came home from work Friday we surprised him with dinner for his ” Father’s Day Friday Dinner”. :) We took him to Back Home in Lahaina. We had an awesome family dinner.

Sunday morning I dressed Andrew in his Father’s Day outfit and we headed back to L.A. early so that we could visit our fathers and spend the rest of Father’s Day at home. On the way home we stopped off at Harris Ranch for lunch. Harris Ranch is a restaurant right by that huge cow farm you pass on the 5 freeway. The meat is fresh! Super good. Marc was happy to have a tasty ribeye steak cooked just the way he liked. Andrew also ate and got changed then we headed back to the Marina where Marc opened his presents. It was a good weekend.

Proof Andrew wrote his Father’s day card (with Mommy’s help)

Family from Austrailia

Marc’s Uncles were visiting from Austrailia and we had dinner with them at CPK before their trip back Down Under. We hope to visit the De Jesus side of the family in a few years. Maybe hangout with some kangaroos and koalas while we’re there.
