This past weekend was actually pretty busy, especially considering we didn’t really have anything planned.
Friday: After work, we went to Triathlon Lab to pick up my bike, which was rebuilt with Dura Ace components. Love it! I also got refitted for the bike by Robert and he was very very thorough. We even wrote down all the pertinent information for future reference and also talked about tri-bike frames. Marilyn and Nikki went with me to the store and Nikki shed a whole bunch of fur on their carpet. Ooops!
Saturday: Marilyn and I both woke up early (around 5) even though this was the first time in a long time I didn’t have to get up to train lol. We stayed up for a bit but then Marilyn got tired and wanted to take a nap. This was around 6:30AM. Since she decided to take a nap, I took my bike out for a short ride to test out the components. With the new components and new gearing, riding my bike will take some time to get used to. I’m very curious to see how hill climbing is with the new setup. When I got back, Marilyn was still sleeping so I decided to do laundry. After she woke up, we decided to take Nikki to Runyan Canyon for a nice walk since it was such a beautiful day. We decided to get breakfast at the French Crepe place at Farmer’s Market before hitting up Runyan Canyon. Yummy! On the way back home, Marilyn went to go get her nails done while Nikki and I went to Trader Joe’s to pick up some groceries. The rest of the day we spent at home taking a nap
As for the night, we ended up watching a Cinderella Story and watching the Pacquiao fight. Gotta love online TV!
Sunday: Marilyn and I went to 7:30AM mass at St. Mark’s down the street. It was weird, they stopped giving wine as a precautionary move so that people won’t pass diseases to each other. I also wondered if they were going to do that, why don’t they stop the handshaking during “Peace be with you”? Marilyn wasn’t feeling well afterwards so we went home to rest. I took that opportunity to finish off Uncharted 2
I love that game….hope they come out with Uncharted 3 next year. I think I got my video game fix…time to refocus on training…for the marathon.
